Shared access
Ask the other person to tap ‘Shared access’ when they open the Locàite app on their phone, then give you the 6 digit code displayed on their screen. Enter their code here and they’ll instantly be able to view your app and receive smartphone notifications for all alerts.
Shared App users will receive smartphone notifications for all device alarms and be able to view your device Location, Timeline, Events and Zones. They won’t be able to change any device settings or view your billing details. If you wish to have a shared app user be telephoned during an SOS or Fall alarm, you must also save their phone number as an Emergency contact in Settings > Device Settings

Understanding the map icons
The Watch’s latest location is shown by the small circular marker
together with how long ago it last sent an update. If you see the Home Locàite icon
instead, this means the Watch is connected wirelessly to the charging base and is reporting the location you stored in Settings > Home Locàite. If you are using Room Locàite, you’ll see
together with the name and location of the closest beacon.
If there has been movement, other recent locations are also shown, gradually fading with time. Arrows show the direction in which the device was moving at each time.
The following icons are shown on the map.
Tap to change the map style.
Tap to view the device’s last location on your phone’s own map and compare to your current location or access route guidance, etc. (Return to the Locàite app for further location updates).
Tap
to view the previous 60 locations on the map, which can be up to 3 hours depending on your selected update frequency.
Tip: When using only GPS, it’s normal for the device’s position to move a little on the map, even if the Watch is stationary and especially if it is indoors. Using the Home Locàite feature will ensure the best possible accuracy at home and greatly extend the battery life too.
Tap to see further tracking and call actions.
- Switch off device remotely powers off your Watch. Note you cannot turn on your Watch remotely – this must be done by switching on manually.
- Play a loud voice will make your Watch say “I’m over here” for 30 seconds so that you can locate it when nearby if required.
- Request location contacts the Watch to request the latest location. If not connected to Home Locàite, it will take a short time to switch on GPS and check.
- Precision track will update the map every 10 seconds for a few minutes. It takes a short time to activate.
- Call device from your smartphone (it will show the Watch’s mobile number first, before you dial).

Home Locàite
Change your Home Locàite stored address.
When the charging base is plugged in and your Watch is within range (closer than about 15 metres), the Home Locàite feature automatically switches on indoor mode. The map will then show the
icon, which represents the saved Home Locàite address. This feature also helps to greatly extend the battery life of the Watch, because the GPS receiver remains off when it knows you are at home and automatically activates when you move outside, away from the charging base.
You can place additional battery extending beacons in rooms that are further from the charging base to ensure maximum battery life throughout the whole house.

Advanced notifications
Device disconnects
Choose to receive smartphone notifications if the Watch doesn’t send any updates for the selected time period.
This would usually indicate the Watch has been turned off, is out of battery or can’t connect to the mobile network.
Device charging
Choose to receive smartphone notifications when the Watch is placed on, or removed from charge.
Watch settings
Tap to connect to the Watch in real time and adjust various settings that are stored on the device itself.
If you couldn’t connect, wait until the next update and try again.
Update frequency
Choose how often to update the Watch’s location when moving and when stationary. The more frequently you update, the more battery will be used.
Store up to 3 emergency contacts who will be telephoned in turn after a fall or SOS button press.
We recommend that each Emergency contact switches off their voicemail, but there are safeguards in place to automatically move to the next number even if a voicemail answers.
To end the calling sequence, a contact must press “1” on their keypad during the call.
You can choose to Only allow incoming calls from these contacts and calls from other numbers will be blocked.
The Watch can Automatically answer incoming calls after the preset number of rings you choose here.
Extend battery life at home
Automatically disconnect from the mobile network between location updates when at home to extend battery life. This feature requires the charging base to remain plugged in and your Watch to be within range (closer than about 15 metres) of either the charging base or an additional battery extending beacon.
When disconnected from the mobile network, you will not be able to adjust settings via the app or make a call to the Watch until it reconnects with the next location update. The Watch will display a “flight mode” icon when disconnected.
If the SOS button is pressed or a fall is detected, it will reconnect to send alerts and call emergency contacts as normal.
Your device will connect to the network when you leave home and stay connected until you return.
SOS alarm
Double click the SOS button to trigger an SOS alert. You can change the SOS button operation to a Press and Hold if preferred.
The Watch will vibrate, optional voice prompts will describe what the Watch is doing and all authorised Locàite app users will receive smartphone notifications. Additionally, up to 3 emergency contacts (entered in the Locàite app Device Settings screen) will then be called in turn, until one answers.
Ending an SOS call – The wearer can end the call by clicking the SOS button or an emergency contact must press “1” on their phone keypad during their call to prevent further contacts being telephoned for this alarm.
We advise emergency contacts to switch off any voicemail facility on their phones to ensure subsequent contacts are dialled quickly. But if an emergency call does go to voicemail, the Watch will dial the next contact once that call ends, 3 minutes have elapsed or the wearer clicks the SOS button.
Fall alarm
When the Watch senses a fall, it will vibrate and optional voice prompts will play to inform the wearer that an alarm has been triggered. Click the SOS button during these beeps to cancel the alarm.
All authorised Locàite app users will be notified when a fall is detected. Additionally, up to 3 emergency contacts (entered in the Locàite app settings page) will then be called in turn, until one answers.
It is possible that the Watch will not detect every real fall. We strongly advise the wearer to press the SOS button in any emergency if they are able.
You can adjust the Sensitivity of the fall detection as required. Please contact our support team if you would like further explanation of the Fall alarm.
Low battery alarm
When the battery level falls to approximately 15% all app users will be notified, but it’s best to keep the battery topped up as often as possible.
Watch and Charging Base help
Charging
Before using your Locàite.me Watch, please place it in the charging base for at least 2 to 3 hours. The Watch will vibrate when positioned correctly and the screen will show that it is charging. If you have any trouble attaching the watch to the charger, simply flip the Watch strap inside out to make it easier to attach. Recharge for at least 2 to 3 hours every few days. You can monitor battery level via the Locàite app.
Tip: Many people keep the charging base beside their bed at night, so it is close by and fully charged each night.
Note that the Watch is shown above without strap for clarity. You do not need to remove the strap to charge.
Switching on
To turn the Watch ON, press the SOS button. The display will light up and the Watch will vibrate. Charging the Watch will also turn it on, unless the battery is completely exhausted.

Emergency calling
SOS call – Double click the SOS button to trigger an SOS alert.

Direct Call – You can call any saved contact without raising an alarm. Tap the SOS button once to switch on the display, swipe right to show Contacts, tap to enter and then swipe right or left to navigate to the required contact. Tap on the required contact to dial.

Ending a Direct Call – The wearer can end the call by clicking the SOS button or you can end the call by simply hanging up.
And remember that you can also call the Watch directly from your own phone as required. You can limit the allowed callers to just the emergency contacts from within the Locàite app.
Voice Prompts
The Watch has voice prompts to describe its operation. You can switch these on and off using the setting within the app.
